It cannot be assumed all children have access to a library due to a lack of a permanent address, forms may require a parent’s signature, or the distance to a library is too great.
Library cards can make a huge difference in a child’s life. Not only are children able to find books that interest them, but they find a place of safety in the library.
This month is Library Card Sign Up Month and we’d like to celebrate by sharing pictures of ourselves with our library cards and giving a shoutout to our local libraries!
Let’s encourage everyone – adults and children — to experience the fun of the library!
